![]() Frankly, at this point I’m not sympathetic to Jules because she allowed not actual Nazi but still a low-key Nazi Joe (Luke Kleintank) to escape from the Resistance capture, resulting in him blowing up a ship full of Black smugglers and escaping with the film. The man is eccentric and a little frightening, demanding answers to his questions but yelling at Jules when she attempts to ask questions. So season 2, episode 1 (“The Tiger’s Cave”) begins with Jules (Alexa Davalos) waking up in some random dude’s bunker. Let’s talk what’s going on (and I’ll make it the abridged version since there are about 100 characters to keep up with): Either way, somehow TMITHC has managed to keep it’s pacing and storytelling style while feeling like a completely new show to me. We also begin to learn more about those films, which thank goodness because I was completely lost on those. Nope, episode one we were introduced to THE Man in the High Castle himself – and he’s crazy as hell. I figured, just like last season, TMITHC would give the audience time to settle in and reacquaint ourselves with the all of our people. I wasn’t prepared for the first episode at all. Season two doesn’t seem to move any faster than season one, but we definitely get the payoff of how much season one set up. Is that what’s happening? Damon Lindelof's The Leftovers seems to be having a resurgence in its second season on HBO. I'm glad to hear its coming back for a second season because I know mystery box shows haven't been as popular in recent years, which is a shame. While I've only watched the first two episodes of the series thus far (I've been kind of busy with Star Wars, life and other things to binge watch TV shows as of late), I very much enjoyed the alternate history reality and Lost-like feel of this show. You can watch a previously released trailer for the first season below: Luke Kleintank and Rufus Sewell also star. The drama produced by Ridley Scott, is set in an alternate 1962 where the Axis powers won World War II. A San Francisco woman ( Alexa Davalos) comes into possession of a film reel depicting a world where the Allied powers were victorious, which inspires some very dangerous ideas. The pilot for Man in the High Castle was the most-watched pilot in Amazon history, and the company made a big deal of previewing the first two episodes for some time in advance of the full season drop. Dick adaptation premiered on the Amazon Prime Instant Video streaming service on November 20th, and a month later the company has announced they are renewing the alt-history dystopian mystery drama for a 10-episode second season.
